FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fire Police City County FCU is putting their money where their mouth is and asking for community help to keep funding a group that supports local K9 officers.
Earlier this month they donated $2,500 to Blue Line Paws, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit group, with the mission to assist in the replenishment of equipment and to provide support to K9’s and their families during service and after retirement.
Formed in 2017, it came several Fort Wayne Police Department K9 Officers recognized the need for additional training opportunities and training equipment.
In 2018, a new facility was built by the City of Fort Wayne for the K9 unit which brought upon additional costs to furnish both the building and training center.
With donations like the one from Fire Police City County FCU, Blue Line Paws will be able to purchase needed items such as tables, computers, cleaning supplies, equipment for the K9’s and more.
