ANGOLA, Ind. (ADAMS) — Fire officials say a car fire started a blaze that destroyed two homes Saturday night.
According to the Angola Fire Department, crews were called to the 809-811 Stevens Street at about 8:45 p.m. after a report of a garage fire. While crews were on the way, police reported that the fire had spread to a home next door.
Firefighters had to work outside first before getting into the homes, which were both heavily damaged.
Crews had to battle the blazes from the outside before they could get into the homes. Fire officials say both suffered extensive damage.
It took about 30 minutes to get the fire under control. Fire officials say no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
