FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at approximately 07:51 hours A.M. members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division and Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at 2019 Packard Ave. and 3418 Loraine Ave.
Undercover Detectives made previous purchases of Oxycodone Hydrochloride from Jose Garza. Those purchases combined with surveillance on Garza gave the Narcotics division the necessary information to file charges on Garza and obtain a search warrant for the 2039 W. Packard Ave. and 3418 Loraine Ave. both residence owned by Garza.
Upon serving the search warrant at Packard Ave. , Detectives found a total of 2307.2 grams of a green leafy substance which field tested positive for THC, 40.2 grams of blue pills identified as oxycodone hydrochloride, .4 grams of cocaine, 100 mg of a liquid THC, two e-cigarette cartridges containing THC.
Additional items found were $3200 in U.S. currency, a scale, and a 9mm handgun.
Upon serving the search warrant at 3418 Loraine Ave. Detectives found a total of 466.3 grams of marijuana, 227 vape cartridges containing THC, Additional items located were $1100 in U.S. currency, multiple handguns including a stolen .22 caliber handgun, three scales, 4 smoking devices, a grinder and miscellaneous handgun magazines and ammunition.
This is still an ongoing investigation with the Narcotics Division.
Jose Garza, 57, was charged with Dealing Narcotics, Dealing Marijuana and Maintaining a common Nuisance.
20-year-old Alicia Garza is facing charges of Dealing Marijuana, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
