FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Power bills could be going up for folks in and around Fort Wayne. Indiana Michigan
Power yesterday asked the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for a nearly 12 percent rate hike. I&M says it wants to use the money to install smart meters and create incentives for electric cars.
If regulators agree, I&M says power bills will start to go up next spring. They figure the average customer will see a $20 per month increase on their bill.
