INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana state budget is now in the hands of the Senate. State Representative Todd Huston says the budget focuses on funding education while protecting reserves.
HB 10-01, the two-year state budget passed the House last week, funds workforce initiatives to help Hoosiers find employment. It increases funding for school safety and the Department of Child Services. The nearly 35-billion dollar budget also sends funding to higher education, Medicaid, Health and Human Services, the Department of Corrections and other public safety initiatives.
Huston says Indiana is keeping its commitment to educators and Hoosier families.
