Indianapolis fire crews rescue 14 ducklings that fell into drain

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fourteen baby ducks are reunited with their mother. The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to Thompson Road on the south side of Indy yesterday to rescue the ducklings from a drain they had fallen into. Firefighters on the scene spent around 15 minutes rescuing the one-week-old ducklings.

The Indianapolis Fire Department posted the following to Facebook:

“After a concerned citizen noticed a family of ducklings in distress at East & Thompson #IFD Station 23 was dispatched by @IMPD 🚔🚒 Firefighters worked for 15 minutes to retrieve 14 🦆1 wk old littles who’d fallen into the drain & send them on their way w/ mama ❤️‬”
