Indianapolis police unsure about gun in officer’s shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in Indianapolis aren’t saying whose gun was used in last weekend’s shooting that sent an officer to the hospital.

Investigators yesterday detailed some of what led up to the shooting that left Officer Eric Rosenbaum with a bullet in his leg. Police say Rosenbaum got into a scuffle with a shoplifting suspect, tried to use his Taser, wrestled with the suspect, and was at some point shot.

Indianapolis police also say the suspect, William Allen, told Rosenbaum that he ‘was going to die today.’ Allen is facing attempted murder charges.
