FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are presently investigating the shooting incident that has left one adult male in critical condition. At approximately 3:25 a.m. Tuesday morning, officers were called to a local hospital where emergency room staff reported that they were treating a shooting victim that had arrived by private conveyance. The victim was reported to be in critical condition by attending physicians.
Investigators have since determined that the shooting took place at a northeast Fort Wayne residence located at 1221 Dodge Avenue. Circumstances surrounding the shooting have yet to be determined.
Detectives are asking anyone that might have heard or seen any unusual activity in the 1200 block of Dodge Avenue between 3:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. this morning to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867), or the Fort Wayne Police Detective Bureau at 427-1201. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
