FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – One man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon while on a motorcycle.
Police say that shortly after 1:15 pm, officers responded to the intersection of W. Cook and Landlord Lane in reference to a reported Hit and Run Accident with injuries.

Officers were advised that there was a motorcycle and a dark colored passenger car involved and the motorcycle was still on scene and the rider was still down. They were also advised that witnesses had advised that the dark-colored passenger car had fled the scene into the adjacent neighborhood.

Upon officers arrival on the scene, they located an adult male victim down on the roadway and Medics and Fire Personnel arrived on scene and began patient care. The victim was transported to a local hospital in Serious Condition. Upon their arrival at the hospital, Emergency Room Physicians downgraded the victim to Critical Condition.

Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle was traveling East on Cook Road and as the motorcycle approached the intersection of Cook and Landlord the passenger car which was traveling West on Cook Road turned in front of the motorcycle and the motorcycle struck the passenger car.
