NOBLE CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says that S.R. 9 in Noble County will be resurfaced on or after Monday, May 6, weather permitting.
The resurfacing work will take place on S.R. 9 in the two locations below:
From E C.R. 900 N to the Sylvan Lake Dam, through Rome City
From just south of Dutch Street to just north of Meyers Street, through Wolcottville
During the day, drivers are cautioned to watch for traffic directed by flaggers, as well as possible stopped traffic in the construction zone.
Work on this project also will include the upgrade of curb ramps in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Curb ramp upgrades will take place at several intersections between Lions Drive and Front Street in Rome City, and between Lovette and Myers streets in Wolcottville. Construction of the new curb ramps may include widening a portion of the sidewalk; installing the ramps, and lowering the approach to align the ramps with the road. Pedestrian detours will be provided throughout the work.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone.
