HUNTINGTON CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says that a portion of S.R. 9 in Huntington County is expected to close on or after Tuesday, March 12.
The closure, which will allow contractors to replace a small structure over Richland Creek, will take place between South Etna Road and C.R. W 700 S in Huntington County. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work.
The official state detour for the closure will be S.R. 105 to S.R. 124. The road may be closed up to 90 calendar days during the work.
The contract was awarded to 3D Company for $1.35 million and includes small structure replacements in Huntington, Miami, and Wabash counties.
