Two airlifted after crash in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Two drivers had to be airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital after a crash late Friday morning.

According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, it happened just before 11 a.m. on CR 400 South just before 11 a.m.

Josephine Housholder, 91, of Wolcottville was driving east in a Ford Escape when Duane Donahue, 67, of LaGrange was headed in the opposite direction. Donahue crossed the center line and his Toyota Camry collided with the Escape.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why he crossed the center.

Both Housholder and Donahue were taken from the scene by helicopter. Their conditions were not immediately released.

A seven-year-old girl in Housholder’s SUV was not injured in the crash.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department will continue to investigate the crash. Officers were assisted by LaGrange and Noble County medics, along with the Stroh Volunteer Fire Department at the scene.
